在讀 Huib Schippers 今年剛出版的新書 Facing the Music: Shaping Music Education from a Global Perspective 時，讀到了關於這段影片的描述。到 Youtube 找了一下，居然真找到了這個段落： 這是由來自美國 Kansas 州的一對夫婦，Martin and Osa Johnson，於 1930 年代，在中菲針對 Pygmy 族所拍攝的紀錄片，取名為 Congorilla。看了以後，雖然早就充分瞭解在當時歐美殖民主義盛行時期的背景，但還是令人驚訝於這個紀錄片製片 (Martin) 的無知與不自覺(?)顯露出的傲慢與優越感。難以想像，居然可以想得出要這種「帶給這些小野蠻人」(the little savages)、這些「孩子般的 pygmies」(child-like pygmies)，「我們的摩登音樂」的想法。裡面這段話更令人瞠目結舌： 「It was remarkable the way they quickly caught the rhythm of our modern music; sometimes they got out of time, but [...]
